Ok, the stage 3 is still not cracked. In fact none of the stage 2s have been cracked either. Here’s the fourth stage 2 of the series. Should definitely make things easier this one.

QS 175

Ok, since nobody has cracked yesterday’s question, I’ll raise the stakes. What I will do is have a four pointer today as well. And the answer to today’s question along with that to yesterday’s (I mean the grand connects) would now form part of another theme (Stage three, in effect). This would probably continue for the next few days until either I run out of enthu or enough people have cracked the stage three, whichever happens first. So here’s today’s question

A
What other famous painting, according to many scholars, would be a part of this list? May not really be exhaustive, simply because there has so far been no concrete evidence to prove the claim.

The book “X1 and X2″ by A1 and A2 is actually based on two separate works- X1 by A1 and X2 by A2. A2, who nurtured a lifelong grudge against A1, apparently based his work X2 entirely on X1 (just modifying the name slightly), but predated it to a time earlier than when X1 was written just out of jealousy. According to another account, both A1 and A2 once entered a scientific contest at the University of Paris and tied for the first place. A2, unable to bear the ignominy, banned A1 from his house.

X1,X2,A1,A2?

I know there are more variables than equations, so here’s an extra equation for you to work it out

I’m myself not a huge fan of calculus, and certainly don’t expect people who even love the subject to know all the rules by heart. But this particular one I’m sure all of you have enjoyed using for it’s simplicity.

Nicely worked out by Mridul, John, Rahul and Appu. Part points to Nithin and Mayura.
