The medicinal plant shares its name with a character in Sandman comics.

I thought the sad eyes and characteristic goatee were enough to give it away. Apparently not.

    Man in the picture is Dr. Paul Gachet, who treated Vincent Van Gogh in the latter’s last days. The plant is Foxglove, and the connection is that Van Gogh made a portrait of Gachet with the latter leaning on a desk, holding a twig of Foxglove.
